Instead of weekly training blocks, structure your cycles around your shift rotation. If you work 4-on, 3-off, your training block is 7 days but the intensity distribution is different from a standard week. Heavy sessions belong on off days. Light sessions and technique work belong on work days.
Map your rotation on a single index card or the front page of your logbook. Label each day as Heavy, Light, or Off based on the likely fatigue level. This pre-planning eliminates decision fatigue. When you finish a shift, you look at your card and know: today is a light day, do the prescribed work and go home.
