nSuns 531 Logbook
nSuns 531 Logbook
Volume-heavy 5/3/1 variant with 8-set grids and weekly AMRAP-driven progression.

Why this logbook
Built specifically for nSuns 531
nSuns' 5/3/1 LP variant took 5/3/1's percentage structure and bolted on massively more volume — 8 sets on the primary lift instead of 3, weekly AMRAPs that drive the progression, and a 5-day split that hits each main lift twice per week. It's punishing, it works, and it demolishes generic logbooks because you need 8 rows per lift per session and a running AMRAP tally across weeks. Our nSuns template is built around the full 8-set volume grid, weekly AMRAP column, and the 5-day Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri structure.
nSuns-specific tracking: 8-set volume grid (not 3 or 5), weekly AMRAP rep count (which drives the +5/+10 progression), and a secondary-lift volume row on each primary day (because nSuns pairs every main lift with a secondary to hit each movement 2x/week). You also need a reset tracker — nSuns hits a wall faster than regular 5/3/1 and most lifters reset every 4-6 weeks. Our template has a reset log built in.

Frequently asked
nSuns 531 logbook questions
Does this work for nSuns 4-day, 5-day, or 6-day splits?+
All three. The most common is the 5-day LP (M/T/W/Th/F), but the builder lets you configure 4-day and 6-day variants too.
How do I know when to reset on nSuns?+
When you fail to hit the prescribed reps on the top set (1 rep below the sheet number), reset the working weight down 10% and rebuild. Each lift has a reset log so you never have to guess.
Can I track the secondary lifts too?+
Yes — every primary lift day has a secondary-lift row with its own 6-set grid. For example, Monday is Bench primary + Overhead Press secondary.
Is this compatible with the original r/weightroom nSuns spreadsheet?+
The template mirrors the spreadsheet's set/rep/percentage structure so you can copy straight from it if you run a stock cycle.
What about jokers or pyramid sets?+
nSuns doesn't prescribe jokers by default, but the bottom of each spread has a freeform notes section where you can log them if you add them.
